RETRO
PICKLE
A synthwave pickleball game with real spin physics, an RPG campaign, and link-cable multiplayer — running on genuine Game Boy hardware.
GAME MODES
Grab a paddle. The kitchen line is calling.
CAMPAIGN
Climb an 8-team ladder from the Pickle Rookies to the Grand Pickles. Earn pickles 🥒, spend stat points, buy gear, and recruit the rivals you defeat. Progress saves to the cartridge.
FREE PLAY
Jump straight into a singles or doubles match against the CPU at any of the neon venues — a quick game whenever you want one.
LINK BATTLE
Chain two Game Boys with a link cable for 1v1 or 2v2. Each player sees themselves up close on the near side — real head-to-head pickleball.
MADE FOR THE HARDWARE
Written from scratch in fixed-point C++ for the GBA — no emulator wrapper, no shortcuts.
RUNS ON A REAL GBA
Every calculation runs in fixed-point on the GBA's 16.78 MHz ARM7 — spin, ballistics, and the whole RPG stat system. It renders 240×160 at a locked 60 fps, with palette-swapped venues and uniforms and proper chiptune sound effects.
Flash it to a cartridge and it plays on the real thing, saves and all.
